I am writing with some updated information about Tulane Law School’s EducationUSA Scholarship as well as with some summary information about our LLM programs. Tulane University Law School, EducationUSA Scholarship Application Deadline: May 1, 2015 Tulane Law School, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, is uniquely positioned to prepare students with an exposure to the common law tradition, practiced throughout much of the United States, as well as the civil law tradition. Tulane seeks to recruit qualified law students with diverse backgrounds from around the world. Please follow this link to learn more about our graduate law programs. LLM application deadline: May 1, 2015. This opportunity provides students with a minimum $20,000 tuition waiver with potential for the waiver to approach full tuition. The program has the following guidelines: 1. Tulane Law School (New Orleans, Louisiana) offers tuition waivers to students who are being advised at an EducationUSA center and seek to pursue a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at Tulane University Law School. The tuition waiver is awarded to students who are admitted to Tulane Law and are nominated by an EducationUSA advisor or colleague. 2. Tulane Law will make award decisions based upon the nominations presented by the EducationUSA advisors. This tuition waiver will be dispersed as follows: Half of the amount to be credited to the fall 2015 semester and half of the amount to be credited to the spring 2016 semester. This represents the full extent of scholarship funding students should expect to be offered from Tulane Law. Applicants should complete the requirements outlined here. LLM Programs Tulane Law School is the 12th oldest law school in the United States and is located in the states banking, judicial, medical, and cultural center. General LLM – Many students use the General LLM program as a way to study areas where they had previously had little or no exposure, enrolling in courses in a variety of areas. LLM in American Law – This degree is intended primarily for international students who hold a first degree in law from a non-U.S. law school who wish to establish eligibility to take a state bar examination in the United States, where permitted by bar authorities. The degree will give students from foreign jurisdictions a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of U.S. law and the American legal system, as well as an appreciation for law practice in the United States.
