Greetings to all Righteous Aethiopians those at home and those abroad, Today January 1, 2015 marks the 82nd Iniversary of the Grounding of the Rastafari Movement in Jamaica British West Indies by Sir Leonard Percival Howell. He had already started the Rastafari Movement in New York, USA on November 2, 1930 and his Harlem tea room was a refuge to many souls seeking solace from The Great Depression. There was food but no money to buy that food so Black People suffered immensely but for Gong Howell to help alleviate their pain and give them HOPE. After being denied citizenship in the USA, Sir Leonard Percival Howell returned to Jamaica December 1932. What he found was 100% unemployment, cholera, yaws and Black People living in the worst imaginable conditions on the island. Sir Leonard Percival Howell wasted no time but pulled up his sleeves and got to work saving the Aethiopian people from the ghettoes of Kingston to the sugar plantations of St. Thomas and Portland to the inner core of Plantation Jamaica he worked tirelessly drawing the soft underbelly of the suffering African people to lift themselves up. At a time when Africans thought of themselves as lower than dogs with the colonial whip on their backs he inspired and demanded greatness with humility but simultaneously lit the torch of African Liberation that continues to this iwah. He his family and the Rastafari nicknamed Rasta Jing Bang paid a heavy heavy heavy price for their strength and fortitude. Many times Sir Leonard Percival Howell was jailed, abused even in the presence of his young children and sent to the mental asylum at Bellvue. The Icients were also jailed at will and beaten badly with their locks n beards shorn, money and property confiscated, jailed and used to plant ganga for the coffers of colonial Jamaica. The never ending saga of property dispossession, discrimination, cultural and physical genocide continues to this moment in 2015. Today also marks the 1 year anniversary of Occupy Pinnacle an effort initiated by the LPH Foundation, Icients, yutes and a few good African Jamaicans in response to an eviction order given in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrates Court in December 2013. It has been a year of struggle and renewal in determination of Irit for it came with many highs and lows. We witnessed mad grabs by ones who do not have the Best Interest of the Icients nor Leonard Howell in their hearts so they advanced a disgraceful invasion and occupation of Pinnacle.They took his colors red gold green and flag down and repainted them green yellow red a power struggle and destruction of all things at Pinnacle. This said ad hoc group who turned Pinnacle into a space that Leonard Percival Howell would never recognize also disrespected Howell stalwarts who founded the Rastafari Movement and paid a heavy heavy price. Can you imagine this suffering with the invaders openly disrespecting the Icients in their faces telling them they were NOT RASTAFARI? Scandalous piracy by government agents that is what I say and refuse to be involved in this destruction of African People and the African Liberation Movement. Rank greed and hypocrisy is the order of the day for this generation who are rootless and ruthless to satisfy their pockets and aid the JLPNP colonial puppetmasters of Bustamante and Manley to extort Rastafari and Sir Leonard Percival Howell. Said JLPNP even funded a FALSE DOGMA CALLED RASTAFARI INDIGENOUS VILLAGE AT MONTEGO BAY JAMAICA AS A TOURISM VENTURE. This is now supported by a few greedy ones who say they are Rastafari but are of the synagogue of SATAN , the evil that resides in their DNA. They now openly call the faithful who are under 82 years of persecution by the Jamaica State top join in on this masquerade on January 4, 2015. Fine young cannibals I call them for they know not what they are doing in their rank ignorance and greed. This will not stand along with many others who have named themselves President of the Rastafari Movement when they have no part in Self Reliance or Rastafari the Movement. The Rastafari Movement has a President who is Sir Leonard Percival Howell so anyone who chairs the meetings of The Ethiopian Salvation Society chairs that meeting in his honor with reverence and a contrite Irits.
