Greetings to all viewers When it comes to the representation of NITians in social media our “Proud To Be an NITian” page has always been a popular name. “PTBN” is your own page which is aimed to unite all NITians, promote better interaction and to rejuvenate the energy of these future techies and their alumni. We create Inter NIT Network : We wish to bring all Nits togther by creating an INTER NIT network.It is of extreme importance if we want to uplift the brand value of our NIT tag, so that people start eyeing it as a choice rather than an alternative to IITs. 2. We Fight Issues like recent fee hike: We at PTBN take our stance against several issue that affect all NITians like bringing us together against the MHRD’s decision of abrupt Fee Hike , Contacting Alumni and talking with government officials about the issues. We were successful in winning this fight only because of our unity. 3. We Raise our suppressed voices: We make ourselves heard loud whenever suppressed. PTBN was successful in highlighting the issue of wall collapse leading to untimely death of a bright technocrat VENKATAVARALU in NIT Calicut. We kept u updated with all the happenings there and prayed together for the peace of his soul. 4. We run NIT Information Portals : On the path of BITS360 forum ,an initiative by BITS PILANI students and alumni we too have successfully ran NIT Information Portals in all the 30 NITs so as to assist the newcomers who have just given their JEE to know more about the rich history of our institutes.
