Groot Group is working with and partnering with local entrepreneurs for them to supply the needed products such as building materials, services and anything else that seek to induce more job creation opportunities locally as well as transfer knowledge, skills, and technology from our foreign partners to the local entrepreneurs. In our Groot Ecosystem Planning, we use a proprietary model that helps us better estimate our job creation planning and development, that indicates that per each 1 new job created, 5 more indirect new jobs are created. For 8 new jobs created, 40 additional indirect new jobs are created. This comes to a total of 45 direct and indirect new jobs created, just from the 5 new jobs. With each project within the Groot Industrial Ecosystem, is expected to have nearly similar effects, and we expect to meet our targeted goal; to help Namibia realize full employment within 3 years of our projects implementation. Our current project, Tses Glass, a US$5 billion development project, it depends heavily on the local supplies, and the local entrepreneurs who receive long-term contracts will get paid by Tses Glass for their supplies and services to further benefit themselves and the economy. Example, Tses Glass has so far awarded about 5 different 15-year term contracts worth more than N$4 billion for the supplies of fuel, raw materials and logistics to Tses Glass. For the communitys contribution, Tses Glass is developing a 30 MW Solar (PV) Power Plant in Tses (Tata Consulting Engineers is the EPCM for this project), and only 25 MW of this will be used by the factory and the difference will be sold to the Municipality of Tses. Tses Glass is also developing a large dam of water in Tses, whose 250 cubic meter per hour of water is for the industrial use by the Tses Glass Manufacturing Plants via the Water Treatment Plant Tata Consulting Engineers is the EPCM for this project), but the rest of the dam water is to be used by the area communities for their irrigation and recreational use. The Government of Namibia has given Tses Village Council about N$18 million through the TIPEEG funds for the technical planning as needed by the Tses Village Council to make ready and prepare for the Tses Glass project development and other projects slated to come to Tses. The village of Tses has already started servicing the land, to enable a development of more than 40,000 new housing units over the next 7 years for the expected new residents of Tses. Groot Group has appointed Aurecon Group for the Tses Glass Environmental Impact Assessment and Management in order for Tses Glass to comply with all the local and international environmental laws; to effect a friendly environmental project development that seeks to benefit the local communities and the entire Namibia at large. Groot Groups prime focus is to explore, develop, and manage world-class multifarious industrial ecosystems specifically designed to help improve and fast-track the reduction of poverty and unemployment, address income inequalities, increase economic outputs, improve the quality of life, and strengthen the performance, growth and development of national economies. This paradigm is poised to help improve the well-being of people while generating values for our shareholders and partners, increasing profitability, and promoting rapid growth and development. Added to this is a more fundamental socio-economic impulse which will bring about the spread of integrated and balanced development across geographical spaces. This will be demonstrably expressed in the linkages of urban and rural economies with mutuality of benefits to be derived from equitable growth and development. The Groot Industrial Ecosystem is a focal point for agglomeration and localization economies with a potential to create other infrastructure for the selfsame.
