"Groundbreaker" by Ted Gall was the first sculpture installed on what became the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park. It was installed by the former Fel-Pro company, across the Street, on land owned by the Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. It eventually led to the formation of the Park that expanded to its current two-mile length, stretching from Dempster St. on the north to Touhy Ave. on the south, containing over 60 sculptures, today. Mr. Gall has four pieces in the Park, all part of its permanent collection. sculpturepark.org/sculptures/ted-gall-groundbreaker/
