Group G is wide open (only on paper though)... various permutation, combinations and possibilities... Germany and USA on 4 points and both need a draw to qualify... though mathematically Germany is through even if they lose today for their superior goal difference... Ghana and Portugal are on 1 point each... but in terms of goal difference Ghana is -1 and Portugal -4... so firstly both team would hope that Germany vs USA does not end up in a draw and Germany wins the match with a 2 goal margin... Ghana would then need to beat Portugal by 2 goal margin... and for Portugal to qualify they will need to win by a 5 goal margin... so practically Germany and USA are through unless Ghana can pull off a miracle... Portugal is virtually out Group H is a little more dramatic for the second slot... as Belgium is already through... Algeria needs a win or a draw to qualify against Russia... whereas Russia must win. If Korea can pull off a surprise against Belgium they too can qualify only in Algeria loses in the other match... So a exciting night awaits
