Group input needed... Im writing out of desperation... I have two sons with my ex husband. they are ages 14 and 12. recently they have been saying they want to live with my husband and me full time. right now I have them every other weekend, every Monday overnight and every Thursday from 3 til 730 pm. its sad. I lost custody because when we split I could only afford a one bedroom apartment. my ex is emotionally abusive, he used to hit me, etc. we are both remarried and now his wife is being mean to my boys. they dont want to be there at all. even the 14 year old said today that his dad only wants them because it controls me. my question is how old do you have to be here in PA to talk to the judge and voice your opinion? I cant afford a lawyer, yet I think I can ask my father in law for money if it came down to it. Do I file a petition for amended agreement? we have seen a mediator twice, both times I have been shot down. ex says im off my meds, etc. its all control tactics. nobody pays support so its not about that at all. i just want my boys to be happy. we havent been to court since dec. 2009. i did have a meeting with my ex at a diner in 2012 asking for more time with the kids. he yelled at me and left. what are my options? thank you so much and please keep this anonymous im afraid he will come after me if he has an idea of what is going on.
