In composing this list, I have come across several organizations that I did not know about. No doubt, there are many others that I have failed to include. Please help by adding any other sites that you are aware of. The first groups listed are geared towards advocacy, while those in the second group are more about spreading information, they are nonetheless important to our cause. I have tried to keep sites sponsored by pharmaceutical companies off the list. It saddens me when I read posts from people who think we are alone here on Inspire. We are not. There are many groups that work so hard to represent us. But to do that properly, they need our support. I hope that you will take a bit of time to take a look at some of these sites. Those of us with chronic pain issues are so limited in energy it is difficult most of the times to even search for information. I hope that this will make it a bit easier to find information that you will find valuable. In addition to these sites, there are hundreds of state and local group, as well as many international sites. If you are not from the U.S., please add those to the list so that we can reach more people. Also, as I am allergic to Facebook and Twitter, I would love it if you could provide info on those groups to be included as well. And dont forget you can contact local, state and federal sites directly. For all of our sakes, please get involved. Sign up for emails and newsletter. Send in your personal stories. Sign their petitions. We will ALL benefit. All of our voices together are MUCH louder!! But they can only be as good as the information that those of us who are pain patients provide. Look forward to finding more groups to add to this list. Peace and Love- Vickie T
