Growing up my great grandmother had this amazing talent, she would buy odds and ends all year long, never spending much, but finding bargains. Then at Christmas all of us children would get a bunch of little presents, They werent expensive, but they were always plentiful! Made our christmas always exciting. One may be bubble bath, one might be a pair of mittens, but always every single year we would get a tube of Avon lip balm. I havent used a tube of Avon lip balm probably since she gave me a tube before she passed away. Well tonight I fished into the bag my great Avon rep dropped to me earlier and low and behold was a gift of a tube of lip balm. Of course I had to crack it open right away to put some on and instantly the smell brought me back to those many tubes Grammy Allen gave me over the years. How I still miss our chats and yarns over a cup of tea in her little kitchen. Thanks Jillian Bishop for what may have seemed like just a small tube of lip balm but to me was an amazing gift.
