“Growing up people who said they loved me focused on everything that was wrong with me. Maybe they thought it would motivate me to do better. Instead it made me feel worthless and ashamed that I was never good enough. Each of us has things we can improve about ourselves. But, constantly telling someone what is wrong with them is hurtful and that is not love. Love is support. One way we are of support is to focus on those things our loved ones, friends, acquaintances are doing right. Support is a little thing that produces big results.”
