Growth Group Homework For the week of April 27,2014 Sermon Series: When God is your Father. Message: Will You Let God Give You a Lift Getting to know you: a) Looking back at your notes from this weeks teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or convicted you? 1) *What is it about Religion as Pastor Randy describes it, and/or as you have experienced it, that can keep us from experiencing the Love of God our Father. 2) *God so loved Mankind that he gave us the freedom to choose. How has that worked out for you? For Mankind? For God? Now that you have confessed your sins to one another, and Mankinds sins, consider what God had to do to make that work out for Him. What can you choose to do? How do you feel about freedom of choice now? 3) * Think of that person or persons in your Oikos who are difficult to love. When you raise your bar, how will your relationship with them change? 4) How does thinking about the Bar Exam make you feel? How will you prepare? 5) (Read Romans 7:4-6) Sometimes it seems easier to just know the rules. To love in the Spirit requires that we know God intimately. How does this change the playing field? 6) Dig Deeper: How do you see God helping you lift the bar in your life?
