Gruber continued: At 17 min, he explains that the economic stupidity of the American people allowed for the Cadillac plan tax. The Cadillac health plans arent fair, because those people can afford to pay for health insurance that regular people cant afford. Instead of taxing the plans, they would tax the evil insurance company. The insurance companies passed that 40% tax on to the policy holders in higher premiums. Many public and private unions offer Cadillac plans. So the school districts costs skyrocket to cover those premium hikes for the teachers. Therefore, my school taxes go up to pay for the teachers health premiums that went up 40% to pay for Obamacare. And my own costs increase because my health insurance premiums go up, too. President Obama is mad because he just heard about this guy. Of course, Gruber said that he was discussing the Cadillac plans with the pres. and the White House visitor logs confirm that fact.
