Grumbleworld.....sleepy Oh dear today the lazy Mrs H (ie me) slept in all morning, you see I had originally woken up at around 9 to attend to matters Grumblie and was joined on the bed for a morning cuddle by our resident Love Pudding Blue.....soon followed by Siouxsie.....it seems Mr H had already attended to food and Grumblie matters, unknown to me so I played with the pouncing Siouxsie until she got bored of chasing my feet and went to find Mr H and atom downstairs, I therefore laid down for a cuddle with Blue Love Pudding....he loves his morning cuddles at weekend. A lovely morning cuddle with rhythmic satisfied relaxed purrs from Blue. Chin tickles and an arm over he continued his purring and my eyes started again to go heavy until both Blue and I were asleep dozing lazily..... Much later and I mean much later .....Mr H came upstairs with a cup of tea....are you going to get up today he said why said I what time is it , 1.30 he said .....oh dear I had to explain that I had intended to surface but fell back asleep with Blue......that cat is your Bagpuss said Mr H.....I must admit he is quite right, so for those who dont remember here it is And so their work was done. Bagpuss gave a big yawn and settled down to sleep And, of course, when Bagpuss goes to sleep, All his friends go to sleep too. The mice were ornaments on the mouse organ. Gabriel and Madeleine were just dolls. And Professor Yaffle was a carved, wooden bookend in the shape of a woodpecker. Even Bagpuss himself, once he was asleep, was just an old, saggy cloth cat, Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams, But Emily loved him. Xx
