Guard your wallets... on June 19, the Steam Summer sale hits, but... Remember that Linux gaming thread? Slightly off-topic, but PSA! GOG has a major mahor sale right now on all these classic (and contemporary indie games), DRM-free! A number of the classic games in there use DOSBox and SCUMMVM, so just grab the Linux ports of DOSBox and ScummVM to run them! So if youre looking into great games to run on Linux, check em out! The massive bundle sale ends in less than 24 hours, after which 2 bundles per day will be displayed in the next few days, with rotating flash sales happening every 30 minutes. Note that most games are on sale, but when theyre in flash sale rotation (or are in sale bundles), they have even higher discounts. Theres a bunch of games on GOG that are available on other digital distribution platforms too like Steam, Gamersgate, Greenman Gaming, etc, but one thing that separates GOG aside from being DRM-free is that they usually bundle a bunch of nice extras with the games, like manuals, soundtracks, exclusive images, some game guides, etc. Head over here before the GOG sale ends! gog/
