Guess what I did for the first time in years?!? I slept on the couch!! Although this may seem silly to most, those of us on dialysis do not get such a luxury. For three years I had to take well over a half hour to prime and set up my machine. I had to be alert and aware of what I was doing at all times. If I messed up in anyway, it could have lead to a nasty infection. Once hooked up I only had enough tether to use the bathroom. I cant tell you what it feels like to be free of cords and tubes!! Im finally free!!!
