Kellas, We are so very sorry to hear of your mommys... - Carl & Susan Canterbury View Sign COXTON — Virginia Greer, 87 of Coxton, was born on Monday, December 20, 1926 and passed from this life on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Coxton Baptist Church and was a retired C.N.A. at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and China Hickson Osborne, a son, Denver Greer and her husband, of 65 years and 11 months Kelles R. Greer SR. Also her brothers, Charlie Osborne and Chester (Bub) Osborne; twin sister and brother Flarence and Lawrence Osborne; and her sisters, Hazel Jacobs, Marie Osborne and Lois Martin. Virginia is survived by: her children, John W Greer of Coxton; Rev. Kelles Greer JR and wife, Jwan of Coxton; her daughter-in-law, Lou Greer of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Mary Abner and husband, Kyle; Kelles (Pete) Greer III of Dalton Georgia. Her five great-grandchildren, Amanda Abner, Courtney Greer, Katelyn Greer, Kelles Greer IV and Kimber Madon. Her sisters, Lucille Jones of Camphill, Pennsylvania and Ruby Selvin of Millsboro, Delaware. Also her special nieces Wanda Burkhart of Ages, Kentucky; Jackie Osborne, Linda Osborne, and Betty Osborne all of Ohio. A very special family friend, Pearl Turner, as well as the Perkins family and all the neighbors of Coxton Kentucky. Visitation will be Monday, March 17, 6:00pm- 9:00pm in the Chapel of Henson and Rich Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 18 at 1:00pm with Rev. Donnie Adkission and Brother Jack Rigney officiating . Burial will follow at the Brookside Cemetery with family & friends serving as pallbearers.
