Gurezi visits remote areas of Gurez, Inaugurates Health Centre at Gujrian GUREZ, SEPTEMBER 27: Minister of State for PHE Irrigation and Flood Control Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today visited various inaccessible areas of tehsil Gurez, which included Purana Tulail, Kilshey and Sheikhpora and took stock of public problems and their developmental needs. He also inaugurated Health Centre at Gujrian. While interacting with the locals, the Minister said that the government is determined to upgrade the basic needs of the people, p[articularly living in rural and far-flung areas, adding that several steps have been taken in this direction during the past five years. He said the coalition Government, headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has been working on a well-knit development programme with special focus on improving health, education, drinking water, road connectivity, social welfare and power sectors, which are key to the development and welfare of people. Mr. Gurezi sought cooperation of the people for taking forward and implementation of various flagship development programmes approved by the Central Government aimed to transform the socio-economic conditions of the rural people. He asked the people to keep close liaison with the administration and avail benefits of various programmes introduced by the Government in different sectors.
