Gurgaon Road Safety Mega Festival is an initiative where Gurgaon Traffic Police supported by Maruti Suzuki in 2013-14 started engaging future road users to make them aware about their role in road scenario. Maruti-Suzuki is not only the largest passenger car manufacturer in India but is largest in road safety education (including driver training). MSIL proactively took initiative in 1998 to set-up a premium institute for Road Safety Education (IDTR) having world class standards along with Government of NCT of Delhi. This started operations in 2000 and created bench mark in field of road safety education. Now Maruti-Suzuki is managing 6 Institutes (Institute of Driving & Traffic Research) and more than 330 Maruti Driving Schools across India. With Painting competition conducted yesterday, Gurgaon Road Safety mega Festival 2014-15 started and finals will be held during National Road Safety Week during Jan’15. Winners will be awarded with attractive prizes like ipads, tablets etc. and will become face of Gurgaon Traffic Police. By engaging our young generation in road safety awareness it is our endeavor to involve the whole family thus achieving goal of creating safer roads. We wish “Safety on Road” to all road users.
