Gurias stick to local winning combination The National, Thursday August 28th, 2014 By JOHN PANGKATANA AGMARK Gurias coach George ToBata will not consider PNG Hunters stars Dion Aiye, Wartovo Puara Junior and Albert Patak for the Digicel Cup grand final in Lae on Sunday. ToBata said he was sticking to the line-up that brought them this far and would only consider prop Joe Bruno, who has been used as an impact player off the bench and winger Edward Goma. “We will only consider Edward (Goma) and Joe (Bruno) as they have contributed with the current crop to help us get to the grand final,” Tobata said. He said that it would have been good to have the extra class in the line-up but he was confident his players would do the job. At five-eighth where Aiye would have been slotted in, Tobata is likely to stick to World Cup tourist Francis Paniu, who has worked a strong combination with Ase Boas. Quinton Ragi has graduated well into the dummy-half role and has won his spot on merit. ToBata said the only change to the team that beat the Mioks in the semi-final two weeks ago would be prop Jackson Undie making his way back into the pack at the expense of the injured Danny Patrick and Travis Waninara starting at lock.
