Guy fawkes was the last man to enter parliament with honest intentions. Thats the phrase that goes around at this time of year right? I agree his intentions were honest, he honestly intended to murder a whole bunch of people in parliament, instigate a rebellion in the Midlands resulting in more death, kidnap an 18 year old girl and use her as a puppet queen and invite foreign armies onto British soil should he, in turn, need to quell a rebellion himself. All because he opposed a protestant king. A king can only be Catholic he reasoned. Honest? Yes. But also treacherous, deluded, bloodthirsty and born from religious fundamentalism.
