Guy in Shorts 12/28/14 Killington Conditions Clouds that cloaked - TopicsExpress

Guy in Shorts 12/28/14 Killington Conditions Clouds that cloaked the mountain stopped dropping liquid as we arrived just after first tracks. Summit temperature of 30 degrees with nearly 2 inches of damp powder covering the top. Thick fog made it tough to navigate for those that did not know the mountain. New snow had that soft full bodied feel. The overnight rain had soften up the hard base. Ridge Run was sweet with the new cover over yesterdays groom. Highline descent took us out of the clouds on a perfect corduroy carpet. Top to bottom Superstar high speed carving turns got my heart racing. Recent manmade took the teeth out of the Downdraft Headwall making it almost easy. Skies cleared a bit in the later morning with conditions improving as the day progressed. Snowmakers break is over with Winter weather returning. Last ride day of the year for me with a 2015 return planned for Thursday. Grade B Quote of the Day - Early Snowden riders reaped the freshies.
