Guys- I have a possible problem. Long story sorta short, there may be a problem with my output level. I wasnt there to hear, but someone tried my Ultra along side a regular Special 6 and said the volume level on the S6U had to be at 80% to equal the 25% level of the S6. I have it back now & compared the S6U vs a 5 watt Blackstar head. Max volume & gain at noon on OD channel, both amps, same cab, and my ears dont hear much of a difference. I also have a Marshall Class 5 combo here that is WAY louder than either of these, but since its 16ohm, I cant test it through the same 8 ohm cab. Is there a way I can check voltage levels and tell if the OT is damaged? This guy called VHT & was told that it could be messed up due to being powered with no speaker load. I have NEVER done that, but maybe he did? Basically I just want to be sure there is a problem before I seek warranty service.
