Guys, Gals, Looking for about 15-20 biker volunteers who would be willing to carry individual cargo of about 10 pairs of kids slippers and a few donated medical and school supplies. We target about 100+ school-going children walking to school for kilometers every day without slippers. Well also be conducting first-aid treatment. Target dates are March 29, 30, April 5,6 (to be finalized as the supplies gets completed) Probably morning at 6AM. Well meet up at Timberland Clubhouse Parking to individually pack-up the cargo. So bring backpacks big enough to carry 10 slippers (kid sizes), medical supplies such as beta-dine bottles, paracetamols and school supplies like notebooks, pencils and pens. Destination will be at Shimanong Store at Wawa. The place is only accessible by foot, mtbikes and Enduro Sport bikes. Note that this will be a loop so be prepared to take on this epic ride. Route: From Timberland - Basic Trail - Sapinit Road (Maarat Giant) - Turn left to Pintong Bocaue - Kasili Road (MMDA Landfil, Mt. Sinai) - Left again to the offroad portion of Kasili Road - 2-3 kms of downhill to Kasili and Wawa - Traverse riverside going to Wawa - Exit to Wawa. What to expect and expected activities: Long loose soil fire road downhill (I recommend using knobby tires no less than 2.1) Several river crossing Scenic plantation and riverside trails Sand dunes and loose pebblet terrain Washing little feet of children about 4-12yo ---Treat/Apply basic first aid for those with open wounds--- Distribute Slippers (get the name of the kid you handed the slippers for accounting purpose) Eat at Shimanong. As I was told, we can fish Tilapia at the river and grill it there. The locals will provide/setup the grill and seasoning :)
