Guys, I really am a fiction writer. Theres nothing else I could do and, despite my brains wandering tendencies, nothing else Id want to do. Im not a poker player, an advantage blackjack player, a family man, a scholar, even a teacher, although Ive swung and missed on all of these and many more. I doubt the fiction that I write is important to the future of humanity, but it makes me happy, and many of my readers say it makes them happy as well. Acceptance is a good and positive step, methinks.
