Gwen Lindberg gave me 11. 1. I love the smell of sheets hung on the clothesline. 2. I was adopted through Lutheran Family Services in March 1971 (birth mother’s name at that time was Doris Ann Hewitt, born around 1951 in Missouri). 3. My alarm is always set to an odd number (e.g. 6:03am). 4. When I see a clock that says 7:11, I always thank God for David (that was his birth-weight). 5. My brother Jason committed suicide in 1996. I miss him. 6. I am the first female in my family to graduate college. B.S. in Horticultural Therapy & M.S. in Organizational Management. 7. Parents divorced in 1979…I was 8 years old and didnt even know what a divorce was. 8. We bought our house for $1…it needed a little work…and had to be moved. 9. When I need to go to my happy place, my mind takes me to St. Lucia, West Indies where David and I were married. 10. David was my HS sweetheart – we got back together at our 10 year class reunion. 11. I knew early on in my life that I had to get an education (see #6 & 7) and that I needed to choose wisely (see #9 & 10).
