Gymnastics strength training is not just for the elite and its certainly not just for guys. Gymnasticbodies was created for everyone. The mobility based stuff in their programs are amazing and can be utilized by pretty much anyone. Here is an example of one exercise that is a best bang for your buck! DB windmills, great for straight arm and leg strength and stability! Total kick ass exercise that will challenge anyone. Start light, 8-10lbs and as you get the rhythm down and the stability in both your legs and shoulders, increase the load.
