Gआज सुबह 9 बजे डा0 उदित राज को बमरौली, इलाहाबाद हावाई अड्डे पर गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया, जैसे ही वे जहाज से उतरे एस.पी. के नेतृत्व में एक टीम ने कहा कि वे शहर में नहीं जा सकते। एयरपोर्ट के अंदर ही डिटेन किया और दूसरे हवाई जहाज से दिल्ली वापिस भेज दिया। डाॅ0 उदित राज इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के अनुसूचित जाति, जन जाति एवं पिछड़ें छात्रों के द्वारा आयोजित महापंचायत को संबोधित करने जा रहे थे। ये छात्र गत् कई दिनों से आरक्षण के अधिकार को लेकर संघर्षरत् हैं। वे मांग कर रहे हैं कि आरक्षण प्राथमिक एवं मुख्य परीक्षा के स्तर पर होना चाहिए न कि साक्षात्कार में। इससे 85 प्रतिशत अनुसूचित जाति एवं पिछड़ों को केवल 50 प्रतिशत सरकारी पद मिलते हैं, जबकि 15 प्रतिशत सवर्णों को आधा अर्थात् 50 प्रतिशत। इस तरह से आरक्षण सवर्णों को मिलता है। जब ये विद्यार्थी आंदोलन कर रहे थे तो समाजवादी पार्टी की सरकार ने उन्हें बर्बरता से पीटा। आज 17 सितंबर को इलाहाबाद में महापंचायत की जा रही थी कि जो संविधान प्रदत्त अधिकार हैं, उसे लागू किया जाए। यदि डाॅ0 उदित राज इनको समर्थन देने गए थे तो कौन सा अपराध किया है? मुलायम सिंह जी घोषित आरक्षण विरोधी हैं। मंडल के समय वे वी.पी. सिंह को छोड़कर चन्द्रशेखर के साथ गए। पदोन्नति में आरक्षण के बिल को लोक सभा में पास नहीं होने दिया। डाॅ0 उदित राज की फोटो पुलिस के साथ। Dr. Udit Raj was arrested at Bamrauli, Allahabad Airport today at 9 AM. As soon as he got down from flight, S.P. Allahabad led team detained him there and escorted to the lounge of the Airport and did not allow him to go out of the Airport. His only fault was that he was going to address a Mahapanchayat organized by SC/ST/OBC Students of Allahabad University on the reservation matter. The Samajwadi Party which is known for anti-reservation, has done the same thing in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission also. In state service, there is no reservation at the level of preliminary and main examination for SC, ST and OBC and the reservation given at the level of interview restricts SC/ST/OBC to 50% posts and 15% upper castes get the share of remaining half. These students are agitating that why 15% upper castes have share of 50% in govt. jobs. They were heavily beaten and arrested and today, i.e., 17th September, 2013, was planned to have a Mahapanchayat to condemn the atrocious of the government and demand for due share and Dr. Udit Raj invited to address it but unfortunately he was arrested and deported back to Delhi.
