People could be free to augment their merger basic income with other jobs not already taken by robotics. OR continue to study, conduct research, or create! We could pay for a Basic Income Guarantee by eliminating most of the 20th-century programs like unemployment insurance, welfare, Social Security, Section 8 housing, etc., and by having the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes. The introduction of a robinhood tax could potentially pay for the entire thing and save the government billions in the process.
