They want an AMORAL political program. -- Ayn Rand That is the tragedy of a political philosophy or any philosophy which holds morality is not knowable or is subjective. The very concept of individual rights is a moral concept. That very fact alone elevates morality to a place of objectivity. It must, otherwise its a pointless philosophical concept. And if it cannot be defended OBJECTIVELY (and for this to happen men MUST accept that reality is an objective absolute and that mans mind is what must be used to perceive it.), this means it is left open to the subjective, amoral, or whim-worshipping anti-rationalists. If that happens then there is no way for men to defend his liberty.
