HAIDER Posts Another Good Day This wasunarguably the biggest clash at box office of 2014. Two films, of diverse genreand for different target audience, were clashing at box office. Haider wasunderdog as everyone is expecting Hrithik starrer Bang Bang to bulldoze itsnot so fancy rival but on contrary its holding well. Haiderreleased across 1250-1300 screens in India yesterday and film has taken few keysingle screens in metros. Film is very dark and has appeal only for nicheaudience. Plus its budget is around 30 cr so even decent business of 45-50 crwill not be bad result. Film tooka quite promising start at few places. Film held well in Bangalore, Mysore,Mumbai and Pune. Film was not bad in Rajasthan, East Punjab and West Bengal.Film was helped by excellent reviews and positive word of mouth pushed filmespecially in evening shows. The filmcollected 6.14 cr nett (we predicted this in our report yesterday afternoon) onday one which is a good result against such a big opponent. Film grew on daytwo almost in every circuit. For example, film grew by 27% in Rajasthan. Filmcollected 6.94 cr nett on day two. Film was good on Saturday too and managedalmost similar numbers as on Friday. Film held well despite Saturday beingworking day in most of the metros. Film collected steady 6.38 cr nett onSaturday. Three daytotal of film is 19.46 cr nett. Film can reach close to 27 cr nett weekendwhich will be very good total considering competition. Film has taken a solidstart on Sunday and it seems that it should cross 7 cr nett for sure on Sunday.
