HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY TO MY INCREDIBLE BABY BROTHER, NICHOLAS!!! He was the first non-blonde male born into our family - I should have known what a spectacular young man he would grow up to be. I am a big sister so incredibly proud of the young man he has become and the remarkable accomplishments he has achieved in his young life, from several photography awards, to college acknowledgements, and his personal and professional achievements, his mentoring of younger generations in Martial Arts where he is somewhat of a superstar and he has begun writing a series of novels in his spare time. When I was bewildered why my parents would want another child when they had 2 out of the house in college and one going into her junior year of high school, my oldest and dearest friend, Kathleen Murphy helped me understand what a gift we were about to receive into our family. From the moment he was born (thank you Cheryl Corrado Brown for getting me there when he was born) ... he has been the greatest gift to our family. Who knew that 24 years ago, an astounding soul would enter the human race, and my family was lucky enough to be blessed with his enormous heart and beautiful soul. He was an incredibly fun and intelligent child - accomplishing his childhood goals well ahead of other children his age - and he was full of laughter and love. I could go on for hours about him, but he describes himself best in his own words ... he wrote this 2 years ago before he graduated Valedictorian of his graduating class in 2012. This mission is twofold: living my occupation and aiding my community. I am very passionate about the community. Human dignity is under attack now more than ever.
