HAPPY ANNIVERSARY... TO ME: Two years ago today I gave up soda and coffee. Havent had a drink of either since then. At one point, several years ago, I was drinking 11 cans of Mt. Dew a day and then I started cutting back to a six pack, but I replaced the five cans of Dew with two or three Venti White Mochas from Starbucks. I quit cold turkey. It was hard. In truth, yeah, it was hell, but I fought through the 13-day long headache and the cold sweats and the thought of how just one more would ease the pain in my head and... well, you get the picture. And this and that. Eventually you just man up and say youre mentally stronger, so thats what I did. End of that story. Speaking of recovering addicts, Ill be celebrating my life void of soda and coffee tomorrow night, at the Bridgestone Arena, with Motley Crue and Alice Cooper.
