HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUCE CRIPPS OBE 2cnd November 1941 aka BRUCE WELCH THE SHADOWS Brilliant rhythm guitarist alongside Hank Marvin,Bruces contribution to the great Shadows records and live performances is immense. A fantastic artist/guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer/arranger,for well over half a century Bruce has been a leading light in the UK music scene. His various songwriting collaborations over the years have created many hit records,for The Shadows,Sir Cliff Richard and other established fellow artists. Bruce has the original Fender Stratacaster guitar Sir Cliff purchased direct from the factory in America,which Hank received in the spring of 1959. Highly talented luthier Mick Johnson,who built beautifully crafted guitars for TBHEF Ambassadors Hank,Bruce,Alan Clarke [ Hollies ] Marty Wilde and Mike Berry,looks after the iconic Strat,and hes kindly provided pics of this historic instrument for TBHEF,which are shown below.
