HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS! Lord, I beg an audience with You this morning through my intercessor and savior Jesus Christ. As always, I start this and any prayer to You with thanks for all that You have seen fit to bless me with, by Your loving grace and benevolence. Thank You for the food on my table, the clothes on my back and the roof over my head. Thank You for my job and for the good health that I enjoy. Thank You for my friends and family, and most importantly, thank You for the promise of Eternal life through the death and resurrection of Your only Son, Christ Jesus. Father, by Your wisdom, You choose to keep my future secret from me. That is Your decision to make, and I accept and abide by it. With Christ in my heart, I know no fear or trepidation for what lies ahead. I know that it will be Your will and not mine that will determine the events that will occur between today and this time next year. You know my heart; my faith is strong, and I only ask that You use me as a tool to give glory to Your name during my time here on Earth. Allow me to witness to the unknowing or unsaved by doing no harm or evil and by being an example of what it means to have a Christian spirit and heart. I don’t ask for strength. You never allow life to give me more than I can handle, so I will find Your strength when I need it. I don’t ask for knowledge or wisdom. You determine what lessons I need to learn and the benefits I will receive from those lessons. I don’t ask for health. I will suffer if You desire it to be so, or I will enjoy good health if it be Your will. Only You know when my time to be with You will come, and I trust Your judgment. I don’t ask for wealth. If it be Your will for me to struggle financially, then so be it. Life is an ongoing lesson of the power of faith and the acquisition of wisdom, so I choose to trust the path You have chosen for me. I simply put one foot in front of the other, obedient to Your will, each and every day. So Lord, I ask nothing for myself. What I ask is for others. I ask that You have mercy on those who have fallen from your path. Please, Lord, break their hearts wide open, and let them see that the answer to the question of the meaning of life always has been and always will be the acceptance of your son, Christ Jesus, as our Lord and Savior, whose birthday we celebrate today. I know that people think there are a million questions that they would ask You but You and I know there is really only one question: “How do I break the bonds of sin and live a life that will be reflective of God’s love for me?” People forget that Life is a gift from You, and a gift not to be taken lightly. Shine Your light upon them, God, and bring them forth from the Darkness. Let them see not just with their eyes but also with their hearts, the wonder and glory that You have given them by Your grace. Teach them to love with brand new hearts. Teach them the beauty of forgiveness as only You know it. I ask that You help them to learn to love each other with the pureness and non-judgment of a worldwide brotherhood. Help them to fill the holes in their hearts with Jesus, and help them to walk in the brightness of a new day instead of the constant shadow of fear and doubt. I know that all that is good comes from You. I’m fine, God. Thanks for loving me. I love You too! Please take care of my brothers and sisters here on Earth, and protect their souls from harm. Their need is great, and Your love is all we need. Thank You for listening to me today, Father, and Glory to You in all things, forever and ever. Amen.
