HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAYNE ROUSE!!!, my 4th on a list of 10 grandchildren. Layne, you have always loved to play and enjoy life to the fullest. I will always remember you as the instigator. I mean that in a very kind and complimentary way. At family gatherings over the years, Layne was always the first to say, Lets play ..... and you fill in the blank. Whether it was soccer, football, baseball, or whatever, Layne would get all the cousins together for the game of the hour. Layne dearly loved to wrestle his big brother Michael Rouse. It started as toddlers and continued on into preteen years. Michael was kind and filled with patience all those years. Hmmm...I dont remember seeing them wrestle much the last few years, but that doesnt mean it didnt happen. Layne has always loved his cousins and always seemed to enjoy the family gatherings to the fullest. Such a playful young man with an earnest desire to beat you at whatever you played with him. In organized sports Soccer has been his favorite and he has always made the team and given his best effort with a zeal like youve never seen. His Grandma Snow thoroughly enjoyed cheering him and Michael from the sidelines and seldom missed any of their games. I have had the privilege of attending a few of their games myself. It is such a delight to watch Layne Rouse play soccer. Now, at the ripe old age of 16, Layne will move from Drivers permit to become a licensed driver. My fourth licensed grandchild ...I must be getting old ...hmmm.
