HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR OWN JOHN SALVATO.....WE LOVE YOU!!! JOHNS BIRTHDAY IS SATURDAY JULY 19, 2014.....GOD BLESS YOU!!!! ORIGINAL DUPREES FANS INFORMATION: Many of our members have inquired as to WHO THE DUPREES are that made the records and were the actual authentic group and its members. To answer these questions best, here are the facts... The current group out today calling themselves Duprees are NOT the ORIGINAL group! NONE of their members are on any of the hit records that were recorded by the ORIGINAL DUPREES group! They have permission to use the trademark name Duprees. The trademark name was registered and taken as his own from the ORIGINAL group by Mike Arnone, one of the original group members. This is the reason why the TWO ORIGINAL FOUNDING MEMBERS of the group, John Salvato and Tom Bialoglow (who are the only ORIGINALS still here), are not able to perform as The Duprees today!! It is a very sad situation for John Salvato and Tom Bialoglow who are the ONLY two ORIGINAL DUPREES still with us!! These two fine gentlemen can only watch, as the four NON original members calling themselves Duprees perform and get paid to sing their hit songs under the group name that they had birthed and founded together so long ago! The year 2012 marked the 50th Anniversary year for The Original Duprees hit recording of You Belong To Me. This 50th Anniversary year celebration was marketed and enjoyed by The NON original group, who had NOTHING to do with the hit recording! They utilized the 50th Anniversary heading to do a special 50th Anniversary Cruise, Concert Tour, Tee Shirt, and CD release under that title billed as the Duprees. Mr. Salvato and Mr. Bialoglow, who made that record, were not allowed the joy of performing it as THEIR own group THE DUPREES, for THEIR own Anniversary year of THEIR own song, You Belong To Me in THEIR own celebratory year! This is a terrible Injustice, and it has been EXTREMELY painful and difficult for both! To correct much mis-information about Who the authentic group members are, these are the accurate facts: THE ORIGINAL DUPREES group members who are the ONLY vocalists heard on all the hit records are as follows.... Mr. Joey Canzano, lead vocalist on all the COED hit recordings (aka Joey Vann, Chubby), Mr. Mike Kelly, second lead vocalist of the group (after Joey had left), Mr. John Salvato, Mr. Tom Bialoglow, Mr. Joe Santollo, Mr. Mike Arnone. These above mentioned gentlemen are the ONLY voices heard on THE DUPREES hit records, and they are the ONLY ORIGINAL MEMBERS of THE DUPREES group!!
