HAPPY WOMENS DAY ; ENJOY WID THIS NAARUS A BENGALI DELICACY For this u need a cup of scraped fresh coconut,a cup of bheli gur (jiggery solidified),2 heaped tbsps. of sugar as binding agent,1 tsp ghee.In a heavy bottomed wok add 2 tsps. of water, melt the gur and add the coconut,mix well and add the sugar too,keep stirring till it starts leaving the woksides.this all shd b done on a low flame. wen done remove from fire keep it covered,note the mix shd b e sticky and not very cool. after 5 min keep some water in a bowl,dip ur fingers take a small portion of the mix, roll like laddooos. u can add 1fourth tsp of cardamom pwd and some raisins too while cooking.Enjoy this healthy,low calorie sweet craving.This rcp is courtesy Rashmi Tulsyan my lovely sister who made this for me while in Kolkatta.
