He was even cool enough to answer 6 sinister questions for the spotlight so here we go! 1. So what got you into Halloween Manny? (M) I always liked Halloween but around 2005 i was taking the kids trick or treating and went by Victor Bariteaus house and he had a scarecrow out front. I saw that and thought, hey i could make that. So the following year i started a display which in a couple of years turned into a walk through. 2. How long have you been haunting? (M) My haunt started in 06 thats when i started the dsiplay and searching forums such as hauntforum, Halloween L and so many others. 3. How did you get involved in American Scream? (M) I saw the ads on the web and posted it to Hauntforum so many people submitted that i thought i had no chance so i didnt even bother. I was told there was over 500 just on the east coast. Magic stone productions was in charge to find the haunts. Nbc Universal wanted them to be from the Salem, MA area. As Magic stone was checking out the haunts and pics that people gave them they came across a pic of Vics daughter with a spider. They made their first choice! Vic brought them to my house while i was out getting my stuff together to start building, well they were bugging out on my yard! It looked like Halloween threw up all over it. They had to ask me to be the second family and i agreed! 4. What is your favorite thing about HALLOWEEN? (M) I dont have just one favorite thing. I love it all. The build, the scares, the expressions on everyones faces. The party at my house, everyone just getting together and having a good time! 5. Whats your favorite Halloween candy? (M) Reeses peanut butter cups! 6. Ok , Manny thanks for taking the time to chat. One last question. What advice can you give to people new to haunting? (M) Look, listen, learn! There are so many websites, forums and a ton of info out there. If youre lucky to have a make and take in your area get involved! Haunters are the nicest people in the world!
