The teacher handed it back to you with a big fat D on it. All your friends and their parents went camping last weekend, but your family was not invited. you were laughed out of the locker room for refusing to take some pills that were supposed to help you train better. The coolest guy in school asked you out and then only wanted you to write his research paper. Disappointment. Rejection. Failure. Sometimes it seems unbearable. you need someone to hear your story and they understand. You need someone to comfort you. Where do you go ? There are lots of places to run to, but most of them will leave you empty. God promises to be there and to really comfort you. His love brings faith for the moment and hope for the future. He gives you strength when you do not have any. He looks into your heart and sees how you are feeling and what you need. Then he pours out comfort by his Holy Spirit. No wonder they call him the Comforter.
