HE SPOKE ONCE and THEY OBEYED He came forth and advised the then Matabeleland Highlanders to drop the title Matabeleland, to enable the team to be known as the team of the nation, he spoke once and the powers that were at Bosso obeyed. Such was the inspiration and commanding influence, the late Dr Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo had, in social spheres. He was arguably to Highlanders, what Nelson Mandela is to the Springboks of South Africa. He was rightly dubbed Father Zimbabwe, a befitting tribute to a man who had passion for peace. This is the peace, which as Bosso fans should always remember him for and say NO to violence of any form. At his passing away, tributes poured in from all over the world. Like wise, we all today remember this great man, who showed society nothing but love. Dearly missed and loved always.....always "Mdala Wethu" Born 1917,died 1999, spent 11years in detention between 1963 to 1974 but was never of a broken spirit, it was a loss keenly felt.
