HE had one of the shortest breaks out of everyone in the squad, - TopicsExpress

HE had one of the shortest breaks out of everyone in the squad, but Tony Watt is raring to go again. The striker wants nothing more than to be in the thick of the action once again and hopes to get his chance tonight, (Wednesday), against Sevastopol. Watt´s summer was broken up due to his inclusion in the Scotland squad, for the win against Croatia last month, but it´s not something he is complaining about. In fact, he is hoping to reap the benefits while in Germany, and not only regain his match fitness quickly, but also find his sharpness over the next 10 days as well. The 19-year old is looking forward to this evening´s tie in the south of Germany, and hopes to build on the hard work he has put in so far. "I´ve came back with a lot of hunger," he exclusively told the official website. "I´m looking to kick on this season and do well. I´ve been buzzing in training and trying hard so we´ll see where that takes me. "I had 18 days off in total, eight before the Scotland game and then 10 after. It´s not a lot but it´s enough for me, I´d rather be back into it again and playing football. "You need the summer to relax, get away from it all and then you come back even more motivated. I feel like I´m in good shape so I´m ready to go. “I can´t wait as it´s the best feeling in the world when you play. You forget how good it feels actually, but it´s one of the most special things you can be given. The gift of playing football, it´s amazing. Nothing beats scoring a goal or setting up a goal." Along with his team-mates, Watt is undergoing a number of double training sessions while in Germany, but while it´s hard work, he knows it will pay off sooner rather than later. "It´s been hard, it´s been a tough week," he added. "It was extra hard yesterday because we have the game today, and also because it was our first day in Germany so we´ll see how the rest of the week goes. "We´ve been doing double sessions every day and I like that. I like when you´re told to do it because sometimes you decide to just go home after lunch and wish you´d stayed longer to work hard. This way we have to and we´ll feel the benefits." The Hoops travel to Munich this evening to take on Ukrainian side, Sevastopol, and it´s a game everyone in the squad is looking forward to. With a number of new faces and youth players having made the trip, Watt is eagerly anticipating how they will fit into the set-up. At the same time, though, he isn’t expecting standards to drop, and is still looking to come away with a result. "There have been some good signings made and they are joining some top-class players who are in the squad already," he said. "We need match sharpness, that´s what these games are all about but at Celtic we never want to be beaten. We´re one of the biggest clubs in the world so we can´t afford to lose to other clubs, even this early in the season."
