~HEADCANNON FOR HELENA~ Hazel sat in her room, a little beyond confused. A couple of hours ago, she had broken up with Frank because she had found out that Leo Valdez liked her. Frank wasn’t moping around, which made her feel better, but he didn’t try to disguise his sadness. Nico liked her like a sister, Frank liked her like a girlfriend, and Leo liked her like a girlfriend too. The thing was, Hazel didn’t think she liked Frank as a boyfriend; she didn’t think she liked Frank as much as she liked Leo. She hadn’t realized how much she liked Leo until he had said something last week. It made her confused at first and it took her a week to decide she liked him back, but she eventually broke up with Frank. Now she was contemplating on how she should tell Leo that she liked him back. What should she say? Maybe she should say, “Hey Leo. I like you back.” No, that’s incredibly stupid. Standing up, Hazel brushed her jeans off. They had dirt on them from having sat on the floor of her bedroom. She would just wing it. There was no point in overthinking it or else it would come out horribly. Taking a deep breath, Hazel walked across the hall of the Argo II. She knocked on the door that was Leo. He answered the door almost immediately. When he saw her, he seemed a little shocked, but hid it with a smirk and said, “Hazel, what are you doing?” She bit her lip thoughtfully before looking Leo straight in the eyes. “Can I come in? I have something important to talk to you about.” Her voice was dead serious. Leo shrugged as she asked and opened his door wide to let her in before he closed it. “What is it Haz—“ He found himself unable to speak because Hazel’s lips had slammed against his. Hazel moved back and cleared her throat. “Leo, I like you a lot. You’re really funny and nice and understanding.” She said. Leo blinked and asked, “Does this have to do with Sammy?” She shook her head as in no. “Of course it doesn’t. You’re different then Sammy is. You’re sweet, and well… You’re Leo Valdez.” Leo felt himself grin when she said that. ~AlwaysAnnabeth
