HEADQUARTERS NEWS RELEASE January 15, 2014 Three Florida Residents Arrested for Possessing Numerous Stolen ID’s Baton Rouge – At approximately 7:30 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2013, a Louisiana State Police Criminal Patrols unit stopped a westbound Kia Sorrento on I-10 west of LA Hwy 415 in West Baton Rouge Parish for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver (21 year old Jessica L. Oldaker of Orlando, FL) and her passengers (31 year old Lamarcus V. Bryant of Sunrise, FL and 22 year old Ezekiel K. Christie of Fort Lauderdale, FL) Troopers became suspicious and asked for permission to search the vehicle. Upon obtaining consent, Troopers discovered numerous credit cards, social security cards and driver’s licenses hidden in the vehicle. None of the hidden cards and licenses belonged to the occupants of the Kia, and all were from individuals located in Florida, Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Louisiana State Police Detectives were contacted and continued the investigation. Through investigative efforts Detectives confirmed that at least five of the credit cards with matching driver’s licenses were reported stolen during vehicle burglaries in Sebastian, FL on January 14, 2014. At this time Detectives are working with various agencies in other states to determine the extent of the thefts. They are continuing to examine the documents and evidence seized from the arrestees, and are in the process of identifying further potential victims. All three individuals were charged with multiple counts of LRS 14:69 (Illegal possession of stolen things). Oldaker was also charged with LRS 32:71B (Driving on the right side of the road). They were booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish jail. This case is on-going, and further charges are anticipated. Louisiana State Police will continue to develop strong working relationships with law enforcement agencies across the nation in the on-going effort to locate and arrest criminals who choose to travel through our state.
