*HEALTH TIP* Carbohydrates -Carbohydrate, in the form of glucose, is the most important fuel for your muscles, especially during intense exercise. -Glucose,which is made available from the digestion of carbohydrates, is stored in muscle & liver as glycogen. -The bodys glycogen stores are limited & need to be restocked between training sessions, otherwise you will start to feel fatigued. -It is important that you eat a diet high in carbohydrates to fuel your training & optimise recovery between training sessions. -If you train regularly you will need to allow for around 60% of your diet to be carbohydrates. -FOODS- pasta, bread, potatoes, rice, peas, beans & lentils.
