HEARTBREAKING THIS BEAUTIFUL DOG WAS DUMPED AT THE TEMPLE - NOW READY FOR ADOPTION A kind supporter is offering financial assistance to re-home Lauren abroad! Some of you may remember Lauren? She was the beautiful dog dumped at a Temple in Sapan Hin about 8 weeks ago. A kind supporter paid to sponsor Lauren so she could be taken from the temple where she was being picked on by other dogs & looked after by Headrock Dogs Rescue whove been caring for ever since. Now this same supporter is offering to help with Laurens flight abroad. Look at Lauren now!.. shes READY FOR ADOPTION! Heres how Verity (Headrock Dogs) describes Lauren....Lauren is an extremely pretty dog with orange and white markings, largish pointed ears and a beautiful curly tail. For those of you who know Thailand Lauren looks very similar to the King of Thailand’s much loved dog Thong Daeng. She was heartlessly dumped in a nearby Temple and she was clearly terrified. At first she sat on the temple steps and every time she saw a visitor she ran to check if they were her owners come to collect her. Sadly every time she left the safety of the step she was chased by the other dogs and attacked. Finally she took refuge in the dank, dark area under the meeting room which was infested with fleas. Even though we treated Lauren for fleas she became infested again and again. The nun told us about 5.00 a.m. Lauren would run to her to eat the rice and fish she prepared for the dogs in her area. Once she’d eaten she’d run back to her hideaway and stay there all day. In response to pleas from our Friends we brought Lauren into our Centre where she has settled in extremely well. Lauren is one of the friendliest dogs I’ve ever met. She’s very enthusiastic and loves to jump up on you so would definitely need some training. She greets every visitor enthusiastically and jumps on them so they can hardly move. She loves to play with our other dogs her age and she’s very happy with any toys she can find. Yesterday she brought me her first present of a chewed up rubber bone and every time I took it she wanted it back to give back to me! Lauren was put on Doxycycline when she came to our Centre and continued the treatment for a month to kill any blood parasites which she probably had due to her infestation of fleas. She was also de-wormed. During the past 2 months she’s put on weight and looks very strong. She was given her rabies and combine vaccination this week (August 21) and will be due to have her second rabies vaccination in a month. The person who adopts Lauren will have a beautiful, loving, devoted friend who’s suffered the trauma of being dumped in a hostile environment after having a home of her own. It’s my belief she was taken in as a puppy by tourists and given to some ‘trusting’ person when they left. That person dumped Lauren into the Temple. PLEASE SHARE LAUREN & help us find her a home! Lauren can be adopted to USA, Canada, Europe or the UK. Adoption enquiries to [email protected]
