HEAVEN by Mel Shrum December 8, 2013 at 10:09pm A poem by Mel Shrum Heaven He had confessed his sins with sorrowful heart and accepted Christ Jesus, a brand new start. On bended knee, with bowed head, he made a vow to ever walk with the Lord, starting right now. Then one night, in the twinkling of an eye he heard a trump and a voice call Come up nigh. He ascended up in complete amazement and delight, seeing family long departed join him that night. He saw countless many, from all nation and race ascending with him, tears of joy on their face. Then, in heaven, they entered through the gate, and each then realized their awesome sweet fate. No more would they see sorrows, fear, pain or tears as they spent their time rejoicing throughout the years. No more would they work, hunger, worry or thirst because they had accepted Jesus, and had put Him first. The sheer beauty was breathtaking, so pure and right not a blemish or stain would ever mar the sight. Angelic voices continuously sang praises to the Lord from whom victory came, His pure word as a sword. Worthy is the Lamb! They all joined in the throng, with every knee bowed as they poured out their song. With sincerest appreciation, all gave the Lord thanks for sharing His mercy, and adding them to His ranks
