HEAVENLY GRACE From the fullness of his grace we have all - TopicsExpress

HEAVENLY GRACE From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. (John 1:16) Dearly beloved, The Bible relates, “When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, ‘Dear woman, here is your son,’ and to the disciple, ‘Here is your mother.’ From that time on, this disciple took her into his home” (John 19:26,27). How much agony Mary would have felt on looking at the sight of Lord Jesus hanging unto death on the cross! Yet instead of languishing that she had none to support her, she continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the disciples and certain women even amidst such a grievous loss (Acts 1:14). When all who had gathered there were filled with the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, she too received His anointing. God granted His fullness of grace to her. A certain man of God was doing his ministry diligently and reverentially at his spare time. After finishing his daily ministry, he would return home late night at around 11 or 12 O’clock. The wife who never liked his late coming would pretend to sleep, leaving him old, stale and watery food. But that man of God always thanked the Lord for that food and had it cheerfully. One day, this dear man passed away quite unexpectedly. The wife’s eyes were opened only after his death and she started crying bitterly saying, “Lord, I don’t have anyone. Nobody in my family is willing to help me. How will I bring up my children? You are the One who gave Your life for me. So please come into me, Lord. Please remove the darkness that is surrounding my life and show me Your light.” What a wonder! The Lord who is full of compassion and abundant grace filled her with His grace and blessed her with the gift of prophecy. Since the grace of God abounded in her life, the Lord used her mightily in the ministry. When I met her after several years, she prayed with copious tears because of the divine love in her. Dearly beloved, humble yourself before the Lord and pray to Him saying, “Lord, make me more like You; I will love You with all my heart.” Then the Lord will have mercy on you with everlasting kindness. The Bible says, “From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another” (John 1:16). As stated in the preceding Bible verse, when you cry out to the Lord in the time of your loneliness and despair, He will sustain you by His heavenly grace. As you continue to devote yourself in prayer, He will fill you with the full measure of His grace showering blessing after blessing upon you. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I cry out You in the time of my loneliness and despair. I seek refuge in You. Please listen to the cry of my voice and come to my help. Sustain me by your heavenly grace and comfort me by your divine love. Fill me with the full measure of your grace showering blessing after blessing upon me. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
