HEAVENLY MINDEDNESS AND EARTHLY RELEVANCE I have heard people often say that if you are too heavenly minded,you would be earthly irrelevant.this statement sounds great and poetically beautiful but I am fully convinced that it is one of those thoughts that we need to bring to the obedience of Christ. In Matthew 6 verse 10,Jesus addressed a spectacular issue that that has to do with heavenly agenda being executed on the earth- YOUR KINGDOM COME.YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS HEAVEN.At this juncture,i would like to say that heavenly minded people ARE NOT people who piously isolate themselves from the world;I mean people who are so spiritual that they think their relevance is only within the confines of a religious building where people gather to pray,clap,sing,dance and fulfil religious obligations.thats an imagination from the gates of hell which is seriously battling against the dominion mandate of the Church.salvation is not an escape route to heaven,it is the wisdom of God in restoring Gods kingdom on earth;it is Gods way through which His Kingdom and heavenly will which was lost in Adam can now be executed through those who are in Christ Jesus. If you are RIGHTLY heavenly minded,your motivation for obeying God will not be to escape hell fire or struggling to make heaven,rather you will love God and will be concerned about His will being done IN YOU and THROUGH YOU whereever you are and in whatsoever you are doing.therefore, if Gods will is being done in you and through you,why would God reject you in the heavenly Kingdom?according to that Matthew 6 verse 10,Jesus will be ruling in the life of such an one and reigning through such a life to expand His kingdom on the earth.to be heavenly minded is thy will be done on earth, as it is heaven.when you are heavenly minded,you heart is filled with the knowledge of heavenly will(GODS WILL) in all wisdom and spiritual understanding and it drives you to passionately walk worthy of that purpose on the earth,that is, the heavenly will or mandate is expressed on earth through those whose hearts are fixed on God.please note,it does not make you worldly,rather it brings about heaven on earth through the life of Jesus in you. ABBA FATHER,send the rod of Your strength out of zion. Let Thy Kingdom come.Thy will be done on earth as it is heaven. AMEN!
