HEEEEELP!! Please help me find 4 more children with autism for my practicum week! Thursday, September 26th, I need 3 more children from 2:00-4:00pm, in the Cartersville area. Monday, September 23, I just need one more for the 2:45 session. Sessions are only a half-hour long. Please pass the word! My contact information is listed below. VOLUNTEERS WITH AUTISM NEEDED—ages 14 and under—NOW SCHEDULING! If you would like to treat your Autistic child to a fun activity, here is an occasion that is completely free (no strings attached) and your child takes a beautiful painting home as well. As some of you may know, I am an artist currently studying with the Art Without Boundaries Association, a non-profit 501c-3 organization that trains artists to use their talents as Mneme Therapists. Mneme Therapy is NOT art therapy, but it IS an art-based therapy that provides the client a very fun activity which employs painting, singing, movement and storytelling in a unique combination. Although it is primarily a fun activity, it produces amazing results with some clients with Autism, learning disabilities, brain trauma injuries, and in the elderly--various forms of dementia including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. If you would like to help me (get certified) while I help your child (have fun in a new way), I will be doing my practicum week with my mentor September 23-27. Whether your child is not in school yet, home-schooled or attending school, it can be worked out. Scheduling is going on now.
