HELLO GUYS HAPPY DIWALI FESTIVAL CELEBRATE...... JAY MATA LAXMI ............................ Diwali is not only about decorating your house or office, eating sweets, lighting candles and burning crackers. Lakshmi pooja is an integral ritual during Diwali. Moreover, for lot many people especially businessmen Lakshmi puja is the most important aspect of Diwali. Businessperson worship goddess Lakshmi to seek her blessings. They wish for wealth, prosperity, and good luck. Goddess Lakshmi bestows good fortune, beauty, and wealth. However, when worshipping the goodness, it is very important that you perform pooja in a correct way. However, there is no ideal way to perform puja, but here are few important things that one should keep in mind when worshipping goddess Lakshmi. Preparation before the Pooja: Before the Lakshmi puja can be performed, it is important to prepare the house. Firstly, it is essential to clean the entire house thoroughly, from top to bottom. People get their house and offices whitewashed and renovated to prepare for the pooja. The house should be decorated with lights, flowers and candles, all these things signify that you are welcoming goddess Lakshmi with wide open arms and all set to welcome her. Rangolis are made at the entrance of house. People also draw footprints which symbolizes footprints of Maa Lakshmi. The pooja is generally performed after sunset. People also prefer to do the puja in auspicious time (shubh muhurats) in order to receive the best results. Each day there are certain time periods that are considered to be the best to carry out any important task. You can refer to panchang or Hindu calendar. Items required for the Lakshmi pooja: Picture or idol of goddess Lakshmi and Ganesh Kalash Mango leaves Flowers (lotus most importantly) Milk, curd, honey, sugar ghee (clarified butter) to prepare panchamrat Scented sticks Diyas or lamps Coconut or shrifal Five types of Fruits Sweets And other regular puja items like vermilion (kumkum) turmeric (haldi) and uncooked rice Steps of the pooja: Drawl sathiya (using flour, kumkum and haldi) on the floor and place a raised platform over it Spread red cloth on the raised platform, put handful of wheat on it. Place the kalash (earthen pot) on the heap of wheat, Make sure you put clean water in the kalash, also add few drops of gangajal if you have Place mango leaves on the kalash creating a circle, put shrifal in the center on the kalash Place idols (after giving them bath with panchamrat) or pictures of Lord Ganesha and goddess Lakshmi besides the kalash First prayers for lord Ganesha are performed proceeding with prayers of maa Lakshmi Chant this mantra, while worshipping Ma Lakshmi Namosthesthu Maha Maye, Shree padee, sura poojithe, Shanka, Chakra, Gadha hasthe, Maha Lakshmi Namosthuthe Offer vermilion (kumkum), turmeric (haldi) and uncooked rice to god. Offer fresh flowers Offer sweets and fruits Light up candle or diyas and scented sticks Lastly perform aarti of goddess Lakshmi Make sure after puja you place diyas in all corners of your house and distribute sweets that you offered to god (Prasad) to your family members, friends and neighbors.
